Dear Plain Jane, Do me a favor and purchase some mac or a weave.......

This blog is probably a bit random and maybe off topic from what i’ve been usually talking about but here goes.....

I have a real problem with girls that do not appreciate make-up and weave. Don’t get me wrong I think that natural beauty is a wonderful thing but lets be honest its boring. Once you get to a certain age I’m gonna need you to switch it up a bit, a ponytail will not do.

Now of course i’m not saying that everyday you should leave the house lashes popping, weave bouncing with louboutin heels but in saying that I feel like as a woman you should know the time and place.

If your going out to party with your girls, why do you choose this day to be plain jane? No-one cares about your “natural beauty”. If you don’t have good hair, own it, embrace it and throw on a weave. Why embarrass yourself, no-one needs to see how bad your hair is apart from your hairstylist....Throw on some eyeshadow to brighten your eyes, some blush to heighten your cheekbones, its okay!

Look, Its all very simple. While your at home being “Plain jane” your boyfriend is cheating on you with a Diva...i’m sorry but its true. Trust me, I know. Men are liars. They like to talk all this garbage about how they want a girl with all natural beauty, minimal make-up, no weave and blah blah blah *side eye* Hunny unless your caucasian, indian or literally have AH-mazing hair how about you delete that theory and throw on some remy! Its not a bad thing......at all!

I used to talk to a guy and for the purpose of this blog I’ll call him “Mr.Purple” and he literally hates weave...so everytime I went to see him I left my natural hair out...*sellout*...I just didn’t feel like myself, I felt so basic, I just couldn’t work it but in conclusion we didn’t work out...I hear he is now with a mixed raced, LONG HAIRED, EYELASH POPPING chicka......Need I say more?

My point is this, there is a place and a season for everything, if you can work the whole natural hair look then do it but if you aren’t as lucky and you look BORING..don’t be scared to throw on a weave and let that inner video vixen be free. Not everyone can be Amber Rose....Period! xoxo

  1. Damn girl, my feelings were almost hurt! LOL, but the more I read the more I understand. I still haven't and probably won't jump on the weave wagon mostly because I can do so much with my own hair curly or straight that I don't need it. I like that I'm in that category lol! I do enjoy make up I just wish I knew how to put it on in moderation where it looked clean and not too dramatic cuz you know my face is so...specific that with too much on I look like a clown. But I totally get it. If you're partying, why not throw on some make up, be a diva! I know I'm not the 24/7 diva and never really will be. I'm all about cute jeans, killer boots and a fro. But when I do class it out I look so fab, which is a wonderful feeling I wish women would accept! I hear you girl!

  3. Are you Serious? Where did you get that at? lololol
The man dumped you because from the sound of that blog you've got no brains in your head. Darling let me educate you!!
I see you've been programmed to think that looking like a second rate white chick is more beautiful than looking like yourself which will always come off first class cos no one can look like you!!
Secondly you're calling yourself a diva? And that men cheat on their naturally beautiful woman with fake ass weaved and ‘mac’ed up Diva’s which is politically incorrect as from where I come from its called a slag!!!!
Thirdly you need to understand that at the end of the day its not about whats on your head but whats in your head.
And by the looks of that picture you put up of yourself you really need some help with that weave. My husband is a hair dresser he will hook you up cos child you really need some help with that weave, and then you need to go to church and get someone to teach you about self love cos you need it.

  4. Bitch please!
I do not know where you got your warped interpretation of this blog but honey maybe you need to read it again... you clearly lack intelligence and you claim to be educating MissRitaB. First of all WHY ARE YOU SO OFFENDED?!?! Are you that ugly? Or have you just been turned down by that many guys? If personally attacking this girl makes you feel better about life then mate its you that needs church!
Secondly not once did she say that there is something wrong with natural beauty, she simply states that there is a time and a place.
Last of all, you say its not about what's on your head but what's inside, but you then felt the need to say that she needs help with her weave?!? is that not a contradiction?!?
Listen woman or whoever you are, I have come to the conclusion that your an ugly person inside and out and this 'husband' that you talk of is clearly not satisfying you enough in life if you spend your time ANONYMOUSLY insulting people on the net. Grow up and Get a life Fool! because your negativity is not needed here!

    Thanx and goodbye! .x

  5. LOL! Love this! I really value your opinion and thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I'm gonna clear up a couple of things. From the looks of your comment it seems that you see yourself as educated woman so your interpretation is quite mind boggling to me. 1. From the beginning of this post I clearly said that Natural beauty is a wonderful thing BUT there is a time and place. If you go to a couple of paragraph's down I also state "Now of course i’m not saying that everyday you should leave the house lashes popping, weave bouncing with louboutin heels but in saying that I feel like as a woman you should know the time and place"

This blog isn't called "You will only be beautiful if you have weave and make-up" neither is it called " Get weave or die trying" Its about knowing what you have and knowing how to work it. If your natural hair ISN'T nice we are blessed with a product called Weave and all I am saying is don't be afraid to use it.

    3. Yes you are right in saying that a man goes for what is in your head and not on your head, I agree with you but my blog isn't called "Get a weave and you'll keep a man" in saying that, Men also go by what they see, why is it the "Diva's aka "Slags" fault if your man cheats...what caused him to cheat? Did he not go by what he saw? A woman could have natural hair and wear barely any make-up and be absolutely beautiful..why? Because she knows how it work it. She doesn't just leave it she does something with it. There is a reason why Beyonce doesn't go on the red carpet with no make-up, its not because she can't but its because it's boring. Make-up doesn't change your features it enhances what is naturally there. I love myself enough to know what works and what doesn't. I know the time and place for when I wear no make-up and for when I just wear some blush, eyeshadow and mascara.....it doesn't breed insecurity...Its just about knowing what I have to do enhance the "Natural Beauty" God has given me. If you think thats wrong..I won't apologise for that.

Oh and fourthly I wasn't dumped...

Thank you and please keeping reading.

    Rita xoxo

  6. LMAO!!!!
You seem to be emotional about my comment. Is this you Ms Rita or did you get your misguided friend to type your word for word account on how you feel towards my comment.
    Either way its hilarious.
    And I'll answer your question with a question;
Don't you think its ironic that your friend is giving tips on weaves when she looks as though she has taped a dead rat to her head. I really didn't know that that was what guys are in to these days.
    *goes back to sipping tea*

  7. I think you damn near got a point. ADD SOME FLARE Ladies but be your natural self sometimes too. We want to see you in all angles and aspects before we start mentally grading.

If you look good as Jane the Plan and Rita the Diva....then you have a windows 7 winning combination. Like they said on "Love and the Marriage"...you cant have one without the other.
    Good blog and sooo truthful.

  8. Once again I question your intelligence... As you can clearly see, Rita herself has commented.

Thanks for your time, I hope you find some satisfaction in life soon. xoxo

  9. Wow...it's like you read my mind! I was thinking about this the other day actually, I was sitting opposite a girl on the tube and you could see that she had a really nice face (nice bone structure..nice eyes etc) but her face just look really really dull! Her hair was just an awkward length and looked really hard to style, and I just thought to myself 'If only I could dab a little concealer and foundation on her face to brighten up her skin a bit...add a bit of mascara and dark eye shadow to bring out her eyes...a bit of blush to define her cheekbones...and finally just add a few tracks of weave to her hair to give it a little length and body(a nice bob maybe)' and I'm sure she would look AH-MAZING! They way I see it, Make-up does not hide your face like a mask(well the make-up coverage I'm referring to anyways)..it enhances the exterior beauty that you already have...Nobody is saying to look like a drag queen and go overboard....and Nobody is saying to use weave if it's not needed...Just use these things to enhance your beauty..

...Qualities such as Brains and inner beauty go along with this...they are qualities that will always be there...but just like you try to broaden your knowledge to its best ability...why not do the same with how you look....always try to look your best.. Appearance is not meant to be everything...but lets be honest...it does count for a lot in many situations such as meeting the parents...a job interview...So again why not look the best you possibly can for the particular occasion.

Ok I've blabbed on enough now....but I can see where Mz Rita the Diva is coming from

    xoxo

  10. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL the comments have got me on the floor...people are taking this all to heart.

This is a blog so the title 'Dear Plain Jane, Do me a favor and purchase some mac or a weave.......' is meant to have funny factor about it... I doubt it very much that Rita is trying to say 'EVERY WOMEN SHOULD WEAR MAKE-UP AND WEAVE...ALL DAY EVERY DAY'

So try to understand the humour in it aswell ladies....it's not that serious

  11. "Hunny unless your caucasian, indian or literally have AH-mazing hair how about you delete that theory and throw on some remy! Its not a bad thing......at all!"

Black Girls like you are the reason why black men don't appreciate black women! Walking like Darth Vader is nice? If you haven't got it, don't put some plastic on your head like a fool. White people really do laugh at the shit we do. You believe in God right, did he not give you kinky hair? should u not love it and find ways of sprucing it up? I'm guessing you prefer to walk around with something that feels and looks like a helmet. You should pray to be white, Disgrace. Slave mentality!
Mixed Race girls are rocking afro's whilst you're wearing fake hair made in china! When a white person calls you a nigger, you better bow down and accept it, dumbass slave of the 21st century.
